Lake District Panorama

Lake District Panorama

We were driving on the A593, between Consiton and Ambleside. I think, more specifically, that it was between Skelwith Bridge and Clappersgate. Looking here towards Grasmere, I think.

Panorama from Abersoch

Panorama from Abersoch

A panoramic view of some of the mountains you can see across Cardigan Bay from The Warren beach at Abersoch. The pointy hill towards the left is called Cnicht. If you look directly down from Cnicht, towards the sea, and then go right, you can mae out the feint outline of Criccieth Castle (just above where, on the horizon, there is a steep rise to a large rounded mountain (Moelwyn Mawr).

Snowdon panorama - looking South West to North West

Snowdon panorama - looking South West to North West

A panorama from the neat the top of Snowdon, looking, I think, from South West at the far left of the photo, towards the North West at the far right. I think you can see all the way to Abersoch, if you look at the sea just along a bit from the left hand side of the photo, and that little island just off on its own might be one of the Saint Tudwal's Islands. The railway you can see in the foreground is part of the Snowdon Mountain Railway. In the background, at the back, about a third of the way along the photo from the left, in the clouds, is a mountain on the Llyn Peninsula, called Yr Eifl. Moving along to the right some more, about two thirds along from the left, you can see the start of the Menai Strait. There is a sandy finger poking into the water there.
