December 2000. Our first daughter's experience of snow. While she played in the garden with my wife, I shot out on my bike and took lots of photos. It was a magical day, and a few hours after these photos were taken it had all melted away to another drab grey December day.

Notes: Frosty branches. All the trees were like this. This is called a 'hoar frost' which is where a frost happens for a few days in a row, and builds up layers of thick frost all over the place. It peaked on the day I took these photos, and was a truly magical day. A few hours later it had all melted away.
