Notes: A clear sunny day, and the twin landmarks of Chester Cathedral and Town Hall. In the distance, across a few flat miles of the Cheshire Plain, lies Beeston Castle (in the middle of the picture), and the Peckforton Hills, to the right.
Notes: A photo of the Town Hall and Chester Cathedral. The light was pretty useless, hence the bleached sky. The Town Hall is a very gothic affair, and was designed by W H Lynne, and opened in 1869. This photo was taken in December 2005 on a drab grey day. Compared it to this one this one taken in March 2006. The later photo was taken from almost exactly the same spot, but in much better weather. I'm amazing that it's possible to take two photos, months apart, which are almost identical...
